Craig DeLong Takes the XC2 GNCC Championship!

In a year where it seems like nothing has been even close to normal, GNCC racing has been a blessing as it's gone on throughout the year without any issues to speak of and to add to that, the XC2 class has delivered one of the most prolific and highly contested championships in GNCC history!

Heading into the final round, Team EVS athlete Craig DeLong had a small points advantage over the rest of the field and knew he had to be on his game and ride mistake free in order to wrap up his title.  He also knew that was much easier said than done.  The XC2 class in 2020 has provided some of the best racing in the history of the series with multiple points lead changes between a handful of riders throughout the year.  The 2020 XC2 class was the phrase 'this handful of riders can win on any given day' to a T.

Craig rode calm, cool, and collected to victory at the final round of the series, his fifth of the season and as a result, he became 2020 GNCC XC2 Champion!

"With this year the way it's gone so far, it's just awesome.  It hasn't really sunk in yet honestly, but overall it's just awesome.  It feels like a weight has come off my shoulders to get it done and know that the years hard work have paid off.  There's so many people I want to thank who helped me make it happen...to wrap it up this weekend truly and awesome and incredible feeling!"
