Fall is here, which means winter is not far behind, especially for those living in northern latitudes in the northern hemisphere. For many, this time of year is when they get in those last few rides before the snow flies and then prep their bike for winter storage. But if one is willing, there are some simple and inexpensive ways to extend the riding season by adding cold-weather-specific items to their riding kit.

At EVS, we continue to design and develop products to protect action sports athletes so they can stay healthy and participate in the sports they love. In the latest installment of our Why Wear series, we share the story of aspiring BMX racer Trent Hoyem and his family and why EVS Knee and Elbow Guards are an integral part of his protective equipment lineup each time he lines up at the starting gate.
For riders living in areas where summer brings hot or humid conditions, it is imperative to prepare for extreme temperatures that can cause dehydration, muscle cramping, heat exhaustion—and even worse, heatstroke. With temperatures reaching record levels in many parts of the country and worldwide, one can take steps to prevent heat-related symptoms when riding in hot weather.

Kyle Chisholm has had an outstanding 2022 season in both the 450 and 250 classes in arguably one of the most competitive Supercross seasons in years. We recently caught up with Kyle to ask him about his 2022 Supercross season and what's next for Team Chiz.
Team EVS is thrilled to announce the formation of a new alliance with legendary motocross freerider and viral video sensation Axell "Slay" Hodges to wear, endorse, and develop EVS products. Known as one of the most talented, gifted, and creative riders to throw a leg over a dirt bike, Hodges continues to push the limits of possibility on a dirt bike, incorporating elements of surfing, snowboarding, and skating into his riding style—much to the delight of his millions of social media followers worldwide.
After two successful seasons with the Phoenix Racing Honda team, Kyle Peters heads into the 2022 Arenacross season as the rider to beat as he makes a run at his third straight title. After the opening rounds of the Kicker AMA Arenacross Series, we checked in with the Greensboro, North Carolina native to ask him about 2022 and beyond.
While EVS started as a motocross specific protection company when we introduced the first evet motocross specific knee brace in 1985, the crossover aspect of our product being able to be worn in other or sports has grown more and more apparent as the brand has evolved. As EVS has grown and changed over the years, we have become a one stop shop for any protective gear for almost any activity imaginable including mountain biking, snowmobiling, any/all action sports, and more. Another avenue that EVS is growing in is the world of karting.
The EVS Race Collar collection is designed to offer protection against neck and collarbone injuries by reducing the risk of axial compression, hyperflexion, hyperextension, and lateral hyperflexion. EVS Race Collars are then further refined using test data and real-world feedback from riders on the track and the trail, along with further input from racers in the karting scene who also use these collars for racing.
An often-overlooked and underrated part of a dirt bike rider's protective equipment kit is a quality pair of moto socks. On the surface, one might think, 'They're just socks. Is there really that much of a difference?' The short answer is YES—especially when the socks are purpose-built for motocross and offroad trail riding. A good pair of socks like those made by EVS Sports help provide a more focused and fun day of riding—without unwanted distractions like blisters, hot spots, or poorly placed seams that come with a bad sock choice.
To say that Brandy Richards had a stellar 2021 season would be a massive understatement. The KTM-supported motocross racer turned offroad racer put together a perfect season in the WORCS Series and would have done the same in the NGPC series had she not missed one round to attend the ISDE in Italy. In Italy, she swept every test and won the individual Women's ISDE Overall Title and helped lead the U.S. Women's Trophy Team to victory. After her final race of the year, we checked in with Brandy to ask for her take on one incredible 2021 season and what some of her goals are in 2022.
